Pessaries
2025, kiln-formed glass, Petroselinum crispum
installation is 3.5ft x 4ft x 4ft
Pessaries is a pile of radically fragile kiln-formed vessels that are at once wombs, seed pods, domestic containers. Polysemy of form, particularly as it blurs distinctions between animal, plant and mineral categories, is a recurring theme in my work. Pessaries are bundles which are inserted vaginally, often made of parsley like those found nestled among this installation.
