Listen to the Old Growth is a series of monoprints, the result of repeatedly hot casting recycled bottle glass over a cross cut slab of cypress. As the heat of the glass imprinted the wood, the glass took on the form of the tree’s landscape and became an archive of its story. We live in a time of anthropocene crisis; humans, however, do not impact our environment more than it impacts us, it is a false binary to see ourselves as separate from nature. Hope lies in the remembering of  evolution’s persistence.

This sculpture was shown in the Louisiana Contemporary group show at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in 2023, and at the Scale Synthesis group show in Spring, 2025.
