Quench Series

Each framed casting is either 5in x 5in x 3in or 9in x 5in x 3in

Recycled bottle glass direct-cast over cold mirror, steel

To make these, I poured molten recycled glass over cold pieces of found mirror. The heat of the cast glass shocks the mirror and then traps the shards, preserving the moment of impact. This series of five sculptures is available as a set for $1150. I also cast a larger series over mirror that has not yet been framed, which could be incorporated into custom architectural projects, please contact me to discuss the possibilities.
